Waiver & Liability

Please read this before your first run

Flyte Run Club is a free, informal group run. There's no sign-up sheet and no membership — but by showing up and running or walking with us, you're agreeing to what's below.

Running carries real risk

Running and walking in a group, on public streets and sidewalks, involves risks that can't be removed. These include but aren't limited to:

You understand these risks exist, and you accept them.

You take part voluntarily

Nobody is required to be here. You join each run of your own free will and at your own risk, and you can slow down, stop, or leave at any point. You're responsible for your own pace and your own decisions on the road.

You confirm you're fit to take part

By joining a run you confirm that you're physically able to take part, and that you aren't aware of any medical condition that makes it unsafe for you to do so. If you're unsure, please speak to a doctor first — we're not medical professionals and we can't assess that for you.

Follow the road rules

We run on open public roads and paths that aren't closed for us. You're responsible for obeying traffic signals, watching for vehicles, and running in a way that's safe for you and for everyone around you.

Runners under 18

Anyone under 18 is welcome, but needs the consent of a parent or legal guardian to take part. A parent or guardian should either come along or make sure a responsible adult is with them. By allowing someone under 18 to join, their parent or guardian accepts these terms on their behalf.

Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Georgia law, you agree that Flyte Run Club, an unincorporated association ("Flyte Run Club"), its organisers, volunteers, and partners are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to you or your property arising out of taking part in a run or any club event, including where it arises from ordinary negligence.

This doesn't exclude liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or anything else that can't be excluded by law.

Dogs, strollers, and kids

All welcome. If you bring a dog, keep it leashed and under control — you're responsible for its behaviour and for any harm it causes.

Photos

We sometimes take group photos and share them on Instagram and on this site. If you'd rather not appear, tell an organiser on the day or email flyterunclub@gmail.com, and we'll leave you out or take the photo down.

Questions

If anything here isn't clear, ask an organiser before you run, or email flyterunclub@gmail.com.
